Inactivity in the site
I hope the inactivity in this site does not result in a cancillation.
I was an enthusiastic Beta tester right through thr Vista saga. It took time to take-off but eventually the interest became a mad frenzy for information as to its useage. I understand the Beta testing will be a little while yet, but if this site hangs in I am sure the end product will be worth it. Incidentally, I have noticed in theVista forums, several of which I am active in, have a real drop of postings. I wonder if this is because of ease of use of the new OS or jusy despair!!

RE: Inactivity in the site
Hello uhaligani, and welcome to the forum. :)
When you say cancellation, do you mean of Windows Vienna/7 or of this forum? I don't think microsoft will cancel Windows Vienna. As for this site, I have been having some trouble accessing it, so I unfortunately have not been able to post much lately. I hope to be able to soon though.
I would also just like to point out that even though this forum is about the next version of windows, were are totally independent of Microsoft Corp.
Anyway, if you have the time, it would be nice if you could post around some here. Help us make it active, and more people will be active. :)

RE: Inactivity in the site
I intend to do that. Problem at the moment is that you have the news/gossip pretty well covered. It is a bit thin at the moment but I am sure the pace will increase.
P.S. BTW I cannot see my mouse cursor when typing in anywhere on the site?

RE: Inactivity in the site
Well, I'll be looking around more, and trying to get sources to get exclusive news. I'll also try to get the time to find more news.
As for the cursor, it seems like there is an error in our theme. I hope to fix this very soon.

RE: Inactivity in the site
iknow about the inactivity...i cant really post 2 posts/day, a thing i want to achieve:P. well, 2 posts per day might be dumb, but it would be better if people would post a little more. however, there are many here that post reasonably.

RE: Inactivity in the site
Well, you were able to post 12 posts in about 30 minutes according to your profile, so I think you should be able to make 2 posts per day.
As for the cursor problem, it seems like it's fixed now, as I am able to see it in Opera.

RE: Inactivity in the site
Hmm, perhaps it's something in your cache, as another person tried it in firefox, and it worked.
Try clearing your cache, or do a hard refresh.
@bc: yes, I use Opera. I like how it has IRC for example, so I can connect to out IRC server without having to load another application.

RE: Inactivity in the site
All my data is cleared on exit. I doubt it is related to that, as it is only on this site that the problem occurs. I am a heavy Internet user. FWIW Today I had two black rectangles when I came to the site. I was totally unable to see wIhat I was typing in my login.I have just tried it in Opera and IE and the problem is the same. I now no longer can see a cursor when I am typing a post!
I felt it was graphics card related, but as I have done nothing to the configuration of the card, I cannot see why there should be a sudden deterioration
