Windows 7 Can't access wifi hotspot landing page

I've tried to connect to a BT wifi hotspot where it's meant to direct you to a landing page to buy full access, however I just get a 404 when I open the browser and the wifi connection stays as 'limited access'. The login page loads fine on my phone,

I've tried disabling the firewall and playing with the DNS settings with no luck.
My 3g dongle and ethernet connections work fine.

It's a fresh install and the wifi adapter is a Intel 5100 AGN.
