Hi,

I get this square instead of a vertical line for a cursor when I type anywhere, i.e word, emails, notepad etc.

Google help said press the "ins" key but, nothing happens on my PC.

Hi Nichosi,

Your cursor looks like it's widened considerably.

Try this, open settings via the Start menu and type 'cursor' without the quotes in the search box. The top result should be 'Change how thick the cursor is':
An image from 'change cursor from a square to a vertical line'. Windows 10 settings show cursor options: thickness change and cursor thickness slider.

On the following page use the slider to change the cursor size:
An image from 'change cursor from a square to a vertical line'. Windows 10 settings show cursor options: thickness change and cursor thickness slider.

Post back if this is of no help.
