It seems like you're facing issues with your fonts on Windows 7 after installing a bunch of free fonts, and you're unsure which one might be causing the problem. While system restore points are useful for reverting changes like these, not having one doesn't mean you're out of options. Here's a step-by-step guide on how you can potentially troubleshoot and fix font-related issues without the need to re-install Windows 7: 1. Identify the Problematic Font: - One approach to identifying the problematic font is to check them one by one. Identify the Problematic Font: - One approach to identifying the problematic font is to check them one by one. You can do this by temporarily removing the fonts from your system and observing if the issue persists. 2. Check Fonts Folder: - Fonts are stored in the Windows Fonts folder. You can access this folder through Control Panel or File Explorer. - The Fonts folder is usually located at C:\Windows\Fonts. 3. Remove Suspicious Fonts: - Go to the Fonts folder and look for the recently installed fonts. You can either delete them or move them to a different folder for temporary storage. 4. Check Font Behavior: - After removing a font, check if the issue is resolved or if the font causing the problem is no longer present. 5. Restore Fonts: - If removing a font resolves the issue, you can try reinstalling the font using a fresh download to ensure the font file is not corrupted. 6. Third-party Tools: - There are third-party font management tools available that can help you organize, view, and troubleshoot font-related issues. Font managers like NexusFont, FontBase, or Suitcase Fusion can assist in this process. 7. Alternative Fonts: - As a temporary fix, consider using alternative fonts for your projects until you can find and rectify the problematic one. If you encounter difficulties during this process or need further assistance, feel free to provide more details or screenshots for additional help.
