Hi,

I just set up a small box with Win 10 and kiosk mode - just to show a dashboard on a TV.

But I've got two problems:

  • Edge will not save my credentials which are used to log into the dashboard
  • Windows automatically sets the zoom for 200% (as an admin I changed it so 100% but thats by profile)

Any idea how to solve it? Or should I just use a normal account, auto login & start scripts? With those two problems the kiosk mode is kind of useless...

For your Windows 10 kiosk setup, here are some suggestions to address the issues you're facing: 1. Edge Not Saving Credentials: - Ensure that the website and Edge settings allow the saving of passwords. - Check if the browser is in InPrivate mode as it doesn't save logins. - Reset Edge back to default or reinstall it to see if it resolves the issue. 2. Zoom Level Resetting to 200%: - You can adjust the zoom level directly in Edge and set it to 100%. - Make sure that Windows is not set to use a different display scale. - Consider using Group Policy to manage settings for kiosk accounts. 3. Alternative Setup: - Using a standard user account with auto-login and startup scripts can provide more control. - Employ a tool...

Alternative Setup: - Using a standard user account with auto-login and startup scripts can provide more control. - Employ a tool like AutoIT to automate the login process and set the desired zoom level. By customizing the user account settings, browser configurations, and potentially utilizing scripts or automation tools, you can tailor the kiosk setup to better fit your requirements. If you encounter specific challenges with implementing any of these solutions, feel free to ask for more detailed guidance!
