I have Windows 7 x64 (6.1.7600)
Finally i installed vista 64 drivers for my Samsung ML1210 Printer. So now it works fine if it is on USB.

But I use my Asus wl500gp Home Gateway, so i connected it with my printer, and added a new port (Standart TCP/IP) in printer preferences, where i've wrote IP of my gateway, as I did it before on XP and Vista. So now, it tells me: printer is offline.

How to make it work over TCP/IP?
Prinnter works fine with other PC's connected to the asus. It's "Ready" for others.

Solution
To resolve the issue where your Samsung ML1210 Printer shows as offline when connected via a TCP/IP port through your Asus wl500gp Home Gateway, you can try the following steps:

Check Printer IP Configuration:

  1. Verify Printer IP Address: Ensure that the printer is assigned a static IP address that is in the same subnet as your Asus wl500gp Gateway. You might need to access the printer's settings to set a static IP address.

    Windows 7 Configuration:

  2. Windows Firewall:
    • Firewall Configuration: Check the Windows Firewall settings to ensure that it's not blocking communication with the printer over the network.

    ]Gateway Settings:
    • Device Visibility: Verify that the Asus wl500gp Gateway can communicate with the printer.
    • Network Connectivity: Ensure that the network settings on the gateway are correct and allow communication with the printer.

      Printer Sharing:

    []Sharing Permissions:
    • Check the sharing permissions on the printer to ensure that other devices on the network can access it.
    [
    ]Driver Compatibility:
    • Confirm that the driver compatibility with Windows 7 x64 is appropriate for network printing.

      Additional Tips:

      • Restart Devices: Sometimes, a simple restart of the printer, gateway, and your computer can help in establishing proper connectivity.
      • Network Troubleshooting: Use tools like ping to test network connectivity between the printer and your computer.
      • Firmware Update: Ensure that the firmware on both the printer and the Asus Gateway is up to date.
By following these steps and ensuring that the configurations are correct, you should be able to make your Samsung ML1210 Printer work over TCP/IP when connected through your Asus wl500gp Home Gateway.
