My network icon in the System Tray shows an exclamation point, connection is up and working. Troubleshooting finds no problems. Reboot, icon now normal. Windows 7 Pro-64, Lenovo T500, Intel 82567LM adapter, Netgear WNDR3700, Time Warner RR High Speed. Any ideas, opinions? TIA for your help.

  4. Update Drivers: Ensure that your network adapter drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes lead to such anomalies.
  5. Router Reboot: If the issue persists, consider rebooting the Netgear WNDR3700 router to refresh the network connection.
  6. Network Troubleshooter: If the problem reoccurs, running the network troubleshooter can sometimes help pinpoint the issue.
  7. Check Network Settings: Ensure that there are no unusual settings configured on your network adapter or router.
  8. Monitor Network Activity: Keep an eye on your network activity to see if there are any patterns when the issue occurs. If the problem continues to persist, it might be worth investigating further by checking event logs or consulting with Lenovo support for any known issues with your specific laptop model. Additionally, verifying the compatibility of your network adapter with Windows 7 Pro could also be beneficial. Feel free to try out these suggestions if you encounter the network icon issue again. If you require any more assistance or the problem reoccurs, feel free to provide more details for further troubleshooting.
