Hello

Windows 10 64-bit

I use a lot of alarms every day - I need the messages to pop up and sound an alert.

Occasionally alarms gave problems but then would resume normal function after a while.

However, this time they seem permanently broken.

I hear the alert sounds at the correct time but (i) they are cut short (ii) no pop ups appear so I have no idea what the alert is actually for.

Nothing seems to be fixing this problem and I could find no answers anywhere that address this specific issue.

Thanks.

Solution
Go into system settings > apps
Locate the app, believe it's actually called 'Windows Clock'
Click on the 3 dots > advanced options
You can try the repair option which is non-destructive to data
If that doesn't work then a reset is probably needed which will remove all the data (alarms)
Alarms scheduled in what application?

In the "Clock" app that comes per-installed with Windows 10. thanks

Have you tried resetting the app?

Have you tried resetting the app?
Well... How do I do that exactly? The PC has been rebooted countless times, and I don't want to remove all the alarms - they are numerous and complex. Do you mean something else? Thanks.

Solution
Fixed! It was the "Notification Banner" check box that was unchecked.

So you helped me find the solution in a different way!

Thanks for your help!

An image from 'Alarms are suddenly not functioning correctly'. Windows Clock settings with notifications enabled and 'Show notification banners' checked.
