I want to remove vista home edition, which came with the desktop XPS 410, and install Windows 2003 server. I am getting some error when I try to boot the system with the installation cd of 2003 server. I am also not able to uninstall the vista OS. Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Solution
There isnt an option to uninstall Vista or any windows operating system. What you have to do is format the hard drive to make it nothing but a blank peice of media.

After you do that then you can install server 2003
Hi, could you please describe the error in more detail. Do any numbers or letters accompany the error on screen? If so try to make a note and please post

Solution
As cheap as drives are nowadays your better off buying a new drive and installing 2003 Server on it and saving the Vista for a later date.
Just my 2 cents.Link Removed
