Not sure if this is the right place to post. I've installed AVG 8.5 to protect my Windows 7 installation, and all seems to be working well. The ony quirk is that Windows keeps telling me that windows firewall isn't on. I assumed that when I installed AVG Internet Security 8.5 (being one of those suggested by Microsoft), that the firewall in AVG would take over automatically an disable windows firewall without any warnings. It's a minor thing, it's just one that annoys me because nothing shows up under security about AVG 8.5 or it's firewall.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can usually find this information in the security settings of the AVG software. 3. Manually Disable Windows Firewall: - If AVG's firewall is active and functioning correctly, you can manually disable Windows Firewall. - To do this, go to Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall. - In the Windows Firewall settings, you can choose to turn off the firewall. Make sure to save these changes. 4. Restart Your Computer: - Sometimes, a simple restart can help in resolving issues related to security software conflicts. By following these steps, you should be able to address the notifications about Windows Firewall while ensuring that AVG Internet Security 8.5 is providing the necessary protection for your Windows 7 system.
