Solution
Congratulations on your new PC setup! It seems like you're encountering a Blue Screen of Death error with the code "7a ntfs.sys" while copying data from an external HDD to your OCZ Vertex 4 SSD. This error typically indicates issues related to the NTFS file system. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: 1. Check Disk Errors: - Run a disk error check on all your drives to see if there are any inconsistencies or bad sectors. You can do this by: - Right-click on the drive -> Properties -> Tools -> Check. 2. Update Drivers: - Make sure all your drivers, especially the storage-related drivers, are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause such errors. 3. Check for Firmware...

Outdated drivers can sometimes cause such errors. 3. Check for Firmware Updates: - Check if there are any firmware updates available for your OCZ Vertex 4 SSD and apply them if needed. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve compatibility issues. 4. Check for System File Corruption: - Run the System File Checker tool to scan and repair any corrupted system files that may be causing the BSOD. - Open Command Prompt as administrator and run the command: sfc /scannow. 5. Check Disk Space: - Ensure that your SSD has enough free space for the data transfer and normal operation. Running out of space can cause issues. 6. Test the RAM: - Use Windows Memory Diagnostic tool to check for any memory-related issues. - Search for "Windows Memory Diagnostic" in the Start menu and run the tool. 7. Check Power Supply: - Ensure that your power supply unit is providing stable power to all components, as unstable power can lead to system issues. 8. Data Transfer Method: - Try copying the data using a different method or tool to ensure that the BSOD is not triggered by the file transfer process. If the issue persists, it might be helpful to provide more information about the exact circumstances when the error occurred, any recent system changes or updates, and any other relevant details to further narrow down the potential causes of the BSOD. Always remember to back up your important data regularly to avoid any data loss during troubleshooting. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you encounter any specific error messages or behaviors during the troubleshooting process.
