I have a GTX 650. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the GPU or the OS. Every time my monitor or PC turns on or comes out of sleep, the color settings are reset to the windows default (a crappy washed out color scheme). I use the NVIDIA Control Panel to set my settings (adjust desktop color settings). When a slider on there is moved at all, the colors snap back to what NVIDIA set.
I've googled my problem, which led me to mess with the color management program that comes with the OS. The interface of it is not well explained and very confusing.
Clicking profiles -> "combine my settings with system defaults" should logically fix it, but it doesn't.
Clicking "change system defaults" pops up an almost exact clone of the color management window, which doesn't help at all.
Is there some way to export an ICC file from the NVIDIA control panel and set it as the default? Am I missing something obvious?

Solution
It seems like you're experiencing color profile issues with your GPU settings not persisting after sleep mode. Here are a few steps you can try to address the problem: 1. Update GPU Drivers: Ensure you have the latest NVIDIA GPU drivers installed. Sometimes, driver updates can resolve compatibility issues that might be causing the color resetting problem. 2. Check for Windows Updates: Sometimes OS updates can address specific issues related to color profiles and GPU settings. 3. Create an ICC Profile: You can create an ICC profile for your display using the NVIDIA Control Panel and set it as the default color profile in Windows. Create an ICC Profile: You can create an ICC profile for your display using the NVIDIA Control Panel and set it as the default color profile in Windows. Here's how you can do it: - In the NVIDIA Control Panel, adjust your color settings to your preference. - Go to the "Adjust desktop color settings" section. - Click on the "Use NVIDIA settings" radio button. - Click on "Apply" and then "Save" to save the settings as an ICC profile. - You can then set this profile as the default color profile in Windows under Color Management in Control Panel. 4. Reset Color Profile: If the above steps don't work, you can try resetting the color profile settings in both the NVIDIA Control Panel and Windows Color Management. Ensure there are no conflicting color settings that might be causing the issue. By following these steps, you may be able to resolve the problem of your color settings reverting to default after sleep mode. If the issue persists, it might be worth exploring further troubleshooting or contacting NVIDIA support for more specific guidance.
