Windows 7 Installing Project-Setup has stopped working

I'm attempting to install Project 2010 and when I click setup, a box immediately appears saying "Setup did not complete successfully. We are sorry for the inconvenience." No reason was given but it showed the following.

I ran Fixit but there's another message saying troubleshooting cannot continue because an error has occurred. It didn't say what the error was or why it occurred.

One reason could be that you have an older installation of Office, perhaps a failed / corrupt one. I would suggest you uninstall such, plus do a Registry cleaning with CCleaner, or equivalent.

I have Office 2010 and I'm trying to install Project 2010.
