So i have having a hell of a time with two brand new tablets as of today:) i purchased from amazon two LLLCCORP 100$ tablets for school. I noticed i could not connect to my schools wifi even after registering the device 5 times. Thats when i looked at "my registered devices" and noticed the mac was different for each of the 5 entries. The first 6 charactors stay the same. So either the tablet is spoofing or its a bad chip, but both do it.... Ideas? Oh and they are not flashed or rooted Thanks Sent from my SM-S920L using Tapatalk

Solution
It seems like the MAC address on your tablets might be changing, which can cause connectivity issues, especially on secure networks like your school's Wi-Fi. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:

Verify MAC Address Changing:

  1. Obtain True MAC Address: Check the physical MAC address of the tablet. This can usually be found in the device settings. Verify this MAC address with what your school's system is recognizing.

    Troubleshooting Steps:

  2. Network Settings: In the tablet's Wi-Fi settings, ensure "MAC randomization" or "MAC address spoofing" options are disabled.

    Troubleshooting Steps:

  2. Network Settings: In the tablet's Wi-Fi settings, ensure "MAC randomization" or "MAC address spoofing" options are disabled.
  3. Static MAC Address: Some devices allow you to set a static MAC address. Try setting a fixed MAC address that matches the correct one observed at your school.
  4. Reset Network Settings: Reset network settings on the tablet to clear any cached values that might be causing the issue.
  5. Contact School IT: Inform your school's IT department about the MAC address issue. They might be able to provide guidance or manually register a stable MAC address for your device.

    Additional Suggestions:

    • Manufacturer's Support: Reach out to LLLCCORP's customer support for assistance with MAC address issues or device configurations.
  • Update Firmware: Ensure your tablets have the latest firmware updates installed, as this can sometimes address connectivity problems related to MAC address issues.

    Final Steps:

    • Troubleshoot at School: Test connecting the tablets to other networks and ensure they maintain consistent MAC addresses.
    • IT Assistance: If all else fails, seek further assistance from your school's IT department for troubleshooting and resolution.
By taking these steps, you should be able to diagnose and potentially fix the issue of changing MAC addresses on your tablets, allowing you to connect reliably to your school's Wi-Fi network.
