      • If you're unable to change the network location, it could be due to group policies set by your workplace.
    [
    ]Router Configuration:
    • Check the router settings to see if any restrictions are preventing the creation of a homegroup.
    • Ensure that network discovery is turned on in the router settings.
    []Firewall and Antivirus:
    • Temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus software to see if they're blocking homegroup creation.
    [
    ]Network Adapter Drivers:
    • Update your network adapter drivers to the latest version. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause network issues.
    []Restart Services:
    • Restart necessary services like HomeGroup Listener and HomeGroup Provider:
      1. Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
      2. Locate the services mentioned above, right-click, and select Restart.
    [
    ]HomeGroup Creation:
    • Try creating the homegroup again after ensuring the above steps are followed.

      Permissions for Specific File Sharing:

If you still face issues with homegroup setup, you can manually share specific files or folders:
[]Right-click on the folder you want to share. []Go to Properties -> Sharing tab -> Share.
  2. Add the users or computers you want to share with and set permissions.

    Additional Consideration:

Since you mentioned your network ID is stuck as part of a business network, it might be due to system settings enforced by your workplace. You may need to check with your IT department if there are restrictions in place that prevent switching to a home network. Let's go through these steps to see if any of them resolve your issue with creating a homegroup and sharing specific files on your network. If you encounter any specific errors or roadblocks during this process, feel free to share them for further assistance.
