Hey Guys.... for the past couple days i've been experiencing some strange issues with my new laptop. to be clear, it's actually a mid 2010 Macbook Pro 15.4" that i bought to use exclusively as a PC laptop. long story short, i got fed up with low quality built PC laptops and wanted something that's higher physical quality and better built. and since i hate OSX, i decided to run bootcamp for windows 7. the new intel macs have come a long way, now it natively supports windows without emulation. anywho.
so far everything seems to work VERY well, and this thing blazes through in Win 7 environment. however in the past few days, i've had a couple BSOD in what seems to be Ntoskrnl.exe related BSOD. i read the FAQ section on this subforum on how to dissect the probable cause by going to the Event Viewer, as well as downloading the minidump debugger/viewer, which both confirmed to be related to Ntoskrnl.exe. but that's about all i know.
two strange issues, which might help finding the culprit of this problem. in my device manager, the built-in bluetooth adaptor device has shown a problem giving out error Code 43. as well as everytime Arcsoft total media theater launches, it causes the "system" process (also known as "NT Kernel & system" to rack up more CPU cycle than usual. (usual is 0~1%, racked up would be 6~8%). only way i can make this system process to go back down to normal is with a reboot of the system. so far i've decided to uninstall Arcsoft TMT and uninstall the driver for the bluetooth built-in adaptor and disabled the bluetooth adaptor itself. but unfortunately with my limited knowledge this is as far as i can go in regard to pin pointing down the issue.
can anyone take a look at my mini dump files and let me know exactly which program, or file is causing this BSOD? both BSOD occurred while putting the laptop to sleep, or waking it back up.
the macbook pro specs are: intel i5 520M (2.4ghz), 4GB ram, nvidia 330m graphics on 64bit Win7
much appreciated.
