After months of testing, the 3.1 version of Mozilla’s open source email client (Thunderbird) has finally arrived in full, bearing many updates like improved performance, stability, web compatibility, code simplification, as well as added functionality.
Based on the Gecko 1.9.2 platform, Tbird 3.1 brings faster message indexing which enables faster search results, a new migration assistant, useful for those moving from Thunderbird 2, a saved files manager, a Mail Account Setup Wizard, and a quick filter toolbar which lets users filter against search terms, tags, starred messages, address book contacts, new emails, and attachments.
Thunderbird 3.1 is available in 46 languages for Windows, Mac OS and Linux and can be downloaded from Link Removed due to 404 Error .
